Today we learned the finer points of video poker. Or John did. After a two hour session he was up almost $200.
Four Aces will do that.
For dinner we went with Maurice and Arrie to Lil Mickey's. Located in a strip mall in a suburb of St. Louis Lil Mickeys was tiny.
Basically they just served their food togo. We were not to be denied. So we pushed the only two tables in the joint together and
ordered a whole bunch of food. We ordered pulled pork, smoked suasage, beef brisquit, ribs, rib tips, chicken, and turkey.
It came to under $54
I really don't have words to describe how good this food was. I can't even begin to describe the amazing smokey smell.
If you could sit back, close your eyes and imagine the perfect tang of hickory and slow roasted, browned perfect barbecue.
And then the flavor.............genius. indescribable and, I am gonna guess, unbeatable. The pictures don't do the meal justice.
As good as everything was - the turkey may have been the best entree. Dry rubbed smoked till still juicy and CUBED, it was fantastic.
I think i would be ordering 5 times a week from Lil Mickeys if i lived here. Maybe more.
